Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) is a Non Destructive Testing Method that is used for the detection of Surface Discontinuities that may compromise the integrity or Quality of the part. FPI may be applied to non-porous ferrous and non-ferrous materials such as but not limited to Metals, Plastics and Ceramics. FPI is used to detect surface Discontinuities in Castings, Forgings, Weldments, Forming Products, Fasteners and other components.
